Can Chakras Be Too Open?

This morning during meditation, I found myself immersed in the familiar flow—grounding into the Earth, reaching up into the cosmos, and pulling both energies through my being. I let them dance and spiral through my chakras, starting from the root and moving gently upward to the crown.
As I moved through each energy center, I did something different this time. I began to play. I visualized each chakra opening... and then closing... and then opening again—this time, as wide as it possibly could. Not just a gentle bloom, but a full expansion. I watched them swell with energy, light, and power—one by one—until I reached the top.
And in that moment, a question floated up:
Can chakras be too open?
I sat with that question. I didn’t rush to answer it from a book or a teaching—I let the answer come from within. And this is what I felt:
I don’t believe chakras can be “too open.” At least not in the way we often fear imbalance. When I opened each chakra to its maximum, there was a limit—a boundary I could sense, not from fear, but from alignment. That boundary wasn’t forced. It was intuitive. It was mine. It felt like the exact right size that I needed in that moment.
Of course, I recognize that this "maximum" is probably shaped by my own mind—my own beliefs, limitations, and level of readiness. But perhaps that’s the beauty of it. Our chakras open to the degree that we are ready. Not just spiritually, but emotionally, physically, energetically.
In that space, I was reminded of something so simple and yet so deep:
The key is balance.
Not overactivation. Not suppression. But resonance with where you are on your path.
We’re all walking different parts of the same journey. Some of us are still learning how to trust the energy of the root. Others are exploring the vast expansion of the third eye or crown. There’s no right place to be—only the right alignment for you in this moment.
So if you’ve ever wondered if your energy centers are too open, too closed, too fast, too slow… I invite you to ask your body. Ask your soul. Ask your Higher Self. And most importantly—listen.
Because your system knows.
Your energy knows.
Your path knows.
And it will always guide you toward wholeness—if you let it.
With love,
